23rd December 2016 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: 30-35 knots Surf / Sea State: 3-4 foot surf Air Temperature: 10ºC Sea Temperature: 12ºC Weather: Cloudy and wet Max Speed: Distance Covered: Some wind at last and a chance to get out windsurfing. Started off with my 5m sail and big wave board which was a little too much so changed down to a 4.5m. The wind filled in as I did so I was still well-powerd on the 4.5m and could have done with a smaller board. All good fun though and had some really nice rides out and back through the white-water. There were some pretty big waves out the back too. Alastair was out as well, as were a couple of kite-surfers. Pretty mad conditions but what do you expect from Storm Barbara! Video Clips here |
